From the measurement to the handover, the work is done by DWALS’s own people. In the homepage’s words, every Dwalsbed is “Designed in Mumbai, built in our own Pune factory, installed by our own team.”
Before you pay anything
The first three steps cost you nothing.
The measurement. “Our own team measures your wall, anywhere in Mumbai & MMR. No charge, no obligation.” We measure first because each bed is built for one wall. The 3D layout. After the visit, you see the design on your wall before you commit. If you want a rough figure even earlier, the 3D studio on the homepage gives a live estimate, marked “Indicative”, that you can send on WhatsApp.
Talk to a past client first. If it helps to hear from someone who already has one, the homepage offers this: “Want to speak to a client in your building or locality before you decide? Ask us — we will connect you where the client has agreed.”
What the quotation covers
The quotation is where the design becomes a fixed price. It “is fixed for the configuration on it”, and DWALS states what moves the number: “Final price depends on size, finish and site conditions.”
The configuration can be a bed on its own, a bed with a sofa in front, or a full wall unit with wardrobes, lofts or a study desk built around the bed. The finish is chosen from DWALS’s laminate range, and the homepage shows “Sixteen of the 500+, cut from our own sample board.”
The quotation also gives you a date. The homepage says “we tell you the date at quotation and confirm it when the 50% advance is received.”
Paying in three stages

How your bed is made
Each Dwalsbed is “made to your measurements in our own factory in Pune, not pulled from stock”. That’s why there’s a production window between confirming and delivery, and why the date comes with the quotation, not before it.
Before it leaves the factory, the mechanism is tested. The homepage line is “Every mechanism cycle-tested on our floor before it leaves our Pune factory.” DWALS’s published rating for its gas struts is 300 kg, tested to 40,000 cycles. That’s a test result for the mechanism, not a promise of a number of years.
Installation day
DWALS’s own team delivers and installs the bed. The homepage puts it as “Our own installation team — not subcontracted.”
Installation “takes our team one working day for a bed or a bed-and-sofa unit”. A full wall unit takes longer, and we tell you how long at quotation. “You can use the room the evening the installation finishes.”
The cabinet is fixed “with anchors sized for your wall — brick, RCC or block”. DWALS describes the result as “No chasing, no civil work, no false ceiling.” The strut force is set to your mattress at installation, using the thickness and weight you gave us at the measurement.
The handover
This is the step worth asking about before you buy. Before the team leaves, a professional shows everyone in your household how to open and close the bed, so that, as the homepage puts it, “the first time you do it is with us in the room.”
It’s also when you see how the bed lives day to day. The mattress stays strapped to the frame and your bedding stays on it, so “You close the bed made, and open it made.”
After the handover
“Every Dwalsbed carries a written 5-year warranty on the structure and the lifting mechanism.” The homepage says it covers the carcass and welded frame against failure in normal domestic use, and the gas-spring pistons and lifting hardware. It doesn’t cover cosmetic wear on laminate and edge-banding, or the mattress, which has its own manufacturer’s terms.

If you move house
The bed doesn’t have to stay behind. “Our own team dismantles it, transports it and re-installs it in the new home; the mechanism is re-tuned to the new wall at the same time.” In the flat you leave, DWALS removes the unit and fills the anchor holes.
