DWALS After-Sales: Who You Call After Installation

By DWALS Team · Last updated October 2026

How does wall bed after-sales service work at DWALS? You call us, and DWALS’s own technician comes to your home. If the problem is covered by the warranty, the part and the visit cost you nothing. If it isn’t, we quote the part before we come.

This guide covers when to call, who comes, what the warranty covers and what it doesn’t, the re-tune after a mattress change, and what happens when you move house.

Something feels off: here’s what happens

A wall bed should feel the same at home as it did at handover. The homepage describes the motion this way: “you provide the direction, not the force”, and the struts “damp the last few inches so it settles rather than drops”.

So it’s worth calling us if you notice that:

  • the bed feels heavier or lighter to move than it did at handover
  • it comes down or goes up unevenly
  • it drops in the last few inches instead of settling
  • anything on the cabinet or frame feels loose
  • you’ve changed your mattress

When you call, describe what changed and when you first noticed it. It makes the call quicker.

What not to do: DWALS’s struts are sealed units, so don’t oil or grease them, and don’t try to adjust the mechanism yourself. Call service instead.

Who comes

DWALS’s homepage puts it simply: “You call us, and our own technician comes — not a vendor, not a franchisee.” It also says “Service calls anywhere in Mumbai & MMR are by our own technicians.” See what you get when you order a DWALS wall bed.

Because DWALS builds its beds in its own factory in Pune, the parts are kept in-house. The homepage says “every part is in our own stores, and a gas strut is a bolt-on component that swaps in minutes.”

What the warranty covers, and what it doesn’t

“Every Dwalsbed carries a written 5-year warranty on the structure and the lifting mechanism.” The homepage FAQ sets out what that includes:

Covered Not covered
The carcass and welded frame, against failure in normal domestic use Cosmetic wear on laminate and edge-banding
The gas-spring pistons and lifting hardware The mattress, which carries its own manufacturer’s terms

What a service visit costs

The homepage is clear about this: “If the failure is covered by the warranty, the part and the visit are on us; if it is outside the warranty, we quote the part before we come.”

Outside the warranty, you get the price of the part before anyone comes.

Changing your mattress

The strut force on a DWALS bed is set to your mattress, using the thickness and weight you give us. That’s what keeps the bed “as light to lift with your mattress as it was on our test floor.”

A new mattress can be heavier or lighter than the old one, so the bed may feel different after a change. The homepage names this as a common reason to call: “a re-tune after a mattress change”. Tell us the new mattress’s thickness and weight when you call.

Moving house

Your bed can come with you. “Our own team dismantles it, transports it and re-installs it in the new home; the mechanism is re-tuned to the new wall at the same time.”

In the flat you’re leaving, “we remove it and fill the anchor holes; the wall is painted over and the flat is handed back as it was.” That matters if you rent, or if a wall bed with a sofa is part of a room you’re setting up again somewhere new.

How long a wall bed lasts

Service is one part of a wall bed’s life. Use, care and the mattress all play a part too. For more on that, see our guide on how long a wall bed lasts. You can also read the full warranty terms in our FAQ.

FAQ

Who do I call if my DWALS wall bed feels wrong?

Call or WhatsApp DWALS on +91 906 706 5557, or email contact@dwals.in. DWALS’s own technician comes to your home.

Is the technician from DWALS or a contractor?

From DWALS. The homepage says “our own technician comes — not a vendor, not a franchisee.”

Is a gas strut replacement covered?

Yes, if it fails in normal domestic use within the warranty. The gas-spring pistons and lifting hardware are covered by the written 5-year warranty on the structure and the lifting mechanism, and a gas strut is a bolt-on part that swaps in minutes.

What isn’t covered by the warranty?

Cosmetic wear on laminate and edge-banding, and the mattress, which carries its own manufacturer’s terms.

Who pays for a repair?

If the failure is covered by the warranty, the part and the visit are free. If it’s outside the warranty, DWALS quotes the part before coming.

What should I do if I change my mattress?

Call DWALS for a re-tune and share the new mattress’s thickness and weight, so the strut force can be set to match.

Can I adjust or fix the mechanism myself?

No. The struts are sealed units, so don’t oil, grease or adjust them. Call DWALS service.

What happens to my old wall when you move the bed?

DWALS removes the bed and fills the anchor holes. The wall is painted over, and the flat is handed back as it was.
